If your not showing pool then don't list it and have people looking forward to seeing it all week. Willie Mosconi and Cranfield advertised to be on ESPNC 2pm on saturday and its not on until next week if its going to be on at all. They always advertise stuff like this and then don't show it. Really gets me mad.
Did they show this in any areas or did they show college basketball instead everywhere.

Happens all the time. It's really irritating, especially if you've planned your day around it.

I was PO'd too. The TV Guide from our local paper said that Trick Shots were on, but I was hoping that was just a mistake and it really was Mosconi/Cranfield. Then I turn it on and the 2005 NCAA tourney was on, how does something become a classic in 2 weeks time? At least I was no more disappointed with the basketball than I would have been with one of those dumb trick shot shows. "Stupid rabbit, tricks are for kids."
I hope you are right about it being next week, but I will be a major accomplishment on my part to remember it for a week. /ccboard/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Ditto! Last week I called the largest Sports Bar in our area with 4 HUGE screens. I called management and they have ESPNC and they said that if my friends and I came for lunch they would change one of the 4 channels to ESPNC (which they normally don't do - the 4 channels are preset). We get there to order lunch, select a primo booth and whala....ESPNC did it again. (some traveled nearly 30 miles @ $2.49 a gallon).

It would interesting to learn the reasons why Billiard Tourneys are 'bumped' / pre-empted so often - IT IS FRUSTRATING.

We had a nice lunch though. Best baby-back ribs anywhere.

I can see why your pissed at ESPN for cancelling pool.An even bigger tradgedy for the USA pool fan is that last year (in the USA) they only showed 4 measly hours of the 2004 World Pool Championships. With all the great American players like Strickland ,Archer, Deule etc, I think that that is a tradgedy. Over here In Canada they showed 18 hrs worth over 9 days.I sent tapes to three pool starved friends in the USA. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gifRJ
