There's a cue builder outta Memphis area who supposedly replicates the hit of a Southwest, and I'd appreciate anybody's comments on these cues. Thanks...sid

I've tried one Sid. I play with one guy who shoots with one. Hits hard and the taper is almost like SW.

> Alex is building some really nice stuff in Memphis. There are a LOT of players down there that have put down Bludworths,Schons,Cognoscentis, and others to play with them. The butts and shafts are tapered virtually identical to an old Southwest,as he copied the taper from his Kersenbrock, and have a very similar hit. His cues are very reasonably priced compared to Capone or Coker, who also make similar cues, and play every bit as well. His workmanship is very good considering he's only been a full time cuemaker for 3,4,,maybe 5 years, but I've seen some fuzzy, shredded veneers in a couple of his cues too. He is a pretty good guy to do business with too. Tommy D.
