Is it legal to stack one bridge on top of another to gain height?

Well, yes, but it's really the wrong way to do things. The snooker players have this right: a special bridge to get extra height. Well, there are a couple of forms: the spider and the swan's neck. The pool bridges where I play are nearly unstackable. There are bridges specially built to be stacked ("Russo's Interlocking Bridge Head"), but the ones there are very unstable if you turn them on the side to get height.
