does anybody know of a good pool magazine that keeps you updated on tournaments, shows, and other events and also has good interesting articles? i really need to be aware of these pool events because i just missed the BCA show in vegas while i was visiting my sister and only found out about it the weekend later from a one of the local pool stores... very disapointed... /ccboard/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Sounds like you may need to read here more often, and it's free. I would say Inside Pool is the best for what you need, but I hate to advertise for a company who stopped sending my issues the month after I renewed for 3 years.

Pool & Billiard is a good magizine and will show the Trade shows you are looking for. Inside Pool is great but they seeem to be down on their luck recently. As postee ablove, you can get most info here. Maybe too much... /ccboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Have you tried Billiards Digest? Most of the mags have calendars, and there are on-line calendars. Tastes in articles vary. I suggest you get sample copies of Billiards Digest, Pool & Billiard, Inside Pool, The National Billiard News, Professor Q Ball's, On The Break News, On The Wire, .... The last two are free in many pool halls in California.

Here is the entry for the BCA Trade Show in the events calendar on this web site (Billiards Digest):

> INDUSTRY EVENTS
>
> April 6-9, 2005
> BCA International Billiards and Home Recreation Expo
> Las Vegas Convention Center
> Las Vegas, Nev. www.bca-pool.com (http://www.bca-pool.com)

As for BCA Trade Show, you need to have some connection with the billiard industry to get in -- it is not open to the public.

There is a Monthy newpaper/magazine called "On the Break" that has a touranent listing for the westcoast.
You can either subscribe to it or visit www.onthebreaknews.com (http://www.onthebreaknews.com) for on line reading.
On the Break also carries national tournament news and results.

For the best coverage "Inside Pool", for the best all around info on the industry and major tournaments "Billiards Digest"
Schedules for the BCA events (industy trade shows) have been on the BCA website for months. www.bca-pool.com (http://www.bca-pool.com)

The Allen Hopkins Super Billiards Expo has a website www.superbilliardsexpo.com (http://www.superbilliardsexpo.com)
