Now guaranteed at least 17th, Steve plays Mika. I got to watch one of his matches and he played great. I think he has one of the most beautiful and fluid strokes I have ever seen and it is great to see him doing so well.
Go Steve!

Very nice going, Steve. Hope you and your wife are having a lot of fun out there. (Also, I've been shooting that break shot the way you suggested, with excellent results. Thanks for the good advice!)

I've been quietly watching Steve on that chart.
I didn't want to say anything and jinx him.

Now it is all your fault. /ccboard/images/graemlins/blush.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I just learned from the forum at AZ that Steve lost to Mika...still a great Pro debut and I hope Steve plays in more events.

Steve is probably one of the few players in that event that works a 9 to 5 for a living.
Great effort. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is the chart online? I'd like to see who Steve has already beaten.

According to the WPBA link that cuechick posted:

Steve lost to Earl Strickland 11-4 (I think the race is to 11?)

Steve then beat:

Frank Alvarez, 11-3
Shane Waltrip, 11-7
Max Eberle, 11-10

And I now hear that he lost to Mika but I don't know what the score was. All in all, a great showing, IMO.

Thanks everyone, for all the tremendous support and kind words. As always, it means so much to me.

I am going through a very difficult time right now, and suffice it to say the last month has been the worst in my life. And ten minutes before my match with Earl, I had a conversation that, well, you really shouldn't have ten minutes before you play Earl. During that match, I didn't even know what planet I was on, to tell you the truth.

I will try to post a tournament recap when I can, but I just got off the redeye back to NY and I am dead right now.

Thanks again everyone.

I've spent some time with Steve at the Open both at the chow table and sweating his matches. A nicer guy there ain't.

Awesome showing Steve. Hope all goes well.
