Well this ranks right up there with pokin' a badger with a spoon. Can't make it to the lake today? No problem. Cut off that fishing tackle and tie a peanut on the end of your fishing line.

The cast.

Gotcha.

The way I rig them is I poke a hole through the end of the peanut and tie the line through it. That way when they give it a hard enough pull the nut will break off the line. If they don't get to keep the peanut they'll stop playin' with ya. They love this game. When I went out to go to work yesterday I had three of 'em sitting on my truck. When they hear my voice they come running like a bunch of puppies.

This is a variation of another of my favorites. Cat-fishin'

Oh, and I don't think salt is good for them so I use the roasted in the shell unsalted kind.

Spiderman,

If you pulled this one up out of the old ashes, you must remember the all time greatest ad in National Lampoon. It had a picture of a floating Volkswagon with the caption, "If Ted Kennedy drove a Volkswagon, he'd be President today." They used the Volkswagon logo and were sued but it was worth it, I think.
