Morning, everyone. I'm finishing my basement and am planning an 8' table down there. I'm expecting to purchase in about 6 months.

My wife forwarded me this link:
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Productgroup.aspx?prodid=11022557&whse=BC&topnav=& cat=&s=1

It's an 8' table. 1" slate, appears to be solid wood. I was looking at the Sierra II set which comes with the table, cues, cue rack, table cover, various accessories, pub table, 2 spectator chairs, for $3500.

The price doesn't seem unreasonable and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this stuff. I've had good luck with Costco purchases before and they're very good about returns/exchanges/etc.

I came very close to buying one of their tables. My understanding is these are private labeled American Heritage tables. I've heard that they make a good table, but not the best playing table.

I believe this is who you call when you dial the 800 number on the Costco website - www.pooltablesusa.com. (http://www.pooltablesusa.com.) They have a showroom a few miles from my house.

(I might have them mixed up with another website - I was looking over a year ago - so my memory might be faultly.)

I ended up buying from a local manufacturer after seeing several around town - Beach. I was just looking for a nice looking, good playing table. I thought about a Diamond "furniture" table, but there weren't any local dealers at the time.

Good luck.

Nostalgia...Regulator is correct. The Costco tables are made by American Heritage, and are well made American tables. The nice thing about Costco is that you can have the table ANY length of time (even years), and they will replace it or refund your money if you have any problems!
Costco is great that way!

A coworker of my wife bought one and likes it. (He's not much of a player - bought it for his two teenage sons.) He was very unhappy for a while, tho -- it took more than twice the delivery time they said it would. I buy lots of stuff from CostCo and have never been disappointed in anything.
