How many of you remember the limited edition craze a la the Franklin Mint, limited edition porcelain, and a myrid of other products that have lost value over the years. I saw on the forum,a statement that a custom cue can be a good investment, and I wondered what the hell is the cue for,if not to play the game. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Franklin mint stuff is a phony collectable. They can make the stuff in unlimited numbers so it is not rare even if they limit the production they limited it to something like "Will not be made after the end of this year". They may still make millions of them. Back to a cue, Barry Szamboti will only make so may cues in his life no matter what, many one of a kind. They truly are limited production item. The value of something is a willing buyer and a willing seller and as long as the buyers outnumber the sellers the prices will go up. I see cues as one of the few things you will buy that will hold it's value or even go up in value.
