I play in two different pool halls and the rail sensitivity on the tables in the two halls are different. I do not belive this is do to dead rails. Any ideas or explinations?

Could be a lot of factors including the rubber type and shape used by the table maker. Are they the same brand ??
Both halls have Brunswick tables. But, the tables at one hall are older then the tables at the other hall.

There are so many possibilities:
- Rubber age
- Rubber composition
- cloth tightness
- rail attachment (bolts are not extremely tight)
- height of rubber corner (a 1/16" makes a difference)
Every table is different. Develop a pattern of shots that you practice on each table you play at to learn its unique playability before playing a game.
