View Full Version : .wav file editing?

I have copied a .wav file from a CD that I own to my computer. The problem is, it's the last song on the CD, and along with the song comes the "bonus track" as though it's part of the same song.

How can I strip off that "bonus track" from the end of the song that I want? Another way to phrase the question - how can I split the .wav file into two parts?

I think the little "sound recorder" tool can do it (I assume you use windows).

start -> accessories -> entertainment -> sound recorder

do a search for a program called " audacity ". works well for mp3's, not sure about wav's. I use it to create ringtones from my mp3 collection.
