Keep in mind that Mr. Houle has *created* his aiming systems. This is something which is quite rare in the world of billiards.

I collect old books on billiards... Reading these books, it seems like someone would come along about every 50 years or so, who clearly understood what was going on. These people would publish their own all *new* book with never before discussed information.

Then for the next 50 years, it seems everyone else would copy this information in their books.

So every once and a while, you get someone in the world of billiards who discovers *new* things.

Like the guy who discovered that a piece of leather placed on the end of the cue was a whole lot better than just using a wooden cue.

And someone who discovered that rubber cushions were better than cushions "stuffed with cloth".

BTW, when that person suggested all cushions should be made of rubber, those in the billiard community fought him tooth and nail! They did not want rubber cushions...

Anyway people like Mr. Houle are rare and only show up every 50 years or so. I for one feel that we are fortunate to have him posting on this forum...
