Hello Everyone,
Real quick question. The "original sledgehammer" or "the stinger" from Jerry?????? Let me know what you all think.
Thanks Everyone

All I can tell you is that I have had both and as soon as I tried the Stinger I sold my SH the next day. We also now only carry the Stinger as a j/b cue.

Madison Bob, pretty effective jump/break.
Stinger, hands down over any other I've tried and I've literally tried THOUSANDS of dollars worth of JB cues.

Where do you get the Stinger? How many dollars?
I know that Tom Simpson who occasionally posts on here is a distributor for the Stinger, but you can go to Jerico's website at www.jericocues.net (http://www.jericocues.net) to get info. I'm not sure how much they are to be honest. That sounds terrible, doesn't it!!! I buy so much stuff I don't know what I paid for what!

Budget Billiards sells the bacote, cocobolo, ebony and purpleheart versions for $319. Billiard Warehouse sells a sneaky pete version called the Thumper for $225.

I'll agree with Cane. The Stinger is definitely the best one that i have used. Consistent, reliable performance is what you get from it. I've used both in one session at the table and the SH just can't compare.

Stupid question alert
Does anyone know if there will be any vendors selling these cues at the US Open? I'd like to try one out before shelling out a couple of hundred bucks for one, and there's nobody in the UK that is selling them (yet).
Thanks

Tom Simpson will be selling the Stinger at the U.S. Open. If you want one before that, contact me via email, I have 5 in stock. They are not on my web site yet.

Many thanks for your direct reply. I'm going to wait for the Open because, as I said above, I want to check one out before forking out for one.
But thanks once again for the information, it is appreciated.

No problem. I am sure that you will enjoy the stinger. I think that you should try one out before making the leap too. It will make your decision an easy one.
Regards, Joe
