hello,
first time poster here. I am looking to purchase 5-6 cue balls for some practice drills and have been looking for the best price on a top quality regulation size/weight cue ball. poolndarts.com has the best price i have seen so far and was wondering if anyone had a recommendation on where else to look.

there are some decent auctions on Ebay, but as usual when they sell multiple units, they rip you off on the shipping. it seems they build quite a bit of their margin into their shipping prices.

thanks!

OK. Buy a set of "casino 8-ball" balls. It's seven solid reds and seven solid yellows, plus an eight ball. The yellow balls will work fine as cue balls. I found a similar set of Aramith balls (poker pool balls) at a used sports equipment store for about $30, but they were brand new. You can also use the red balls as cue balls if the color doesn't bother you, which works out to about $2/cue ball.

If you are specifically looking for the Aramith Champion Red Circle balls then poolndarts.com have the best price.

If you don't like Bob's suggestion then over the years I have seen a few pool halls sell cue balls they've taken out of service for very low rates so you may want to ask around at local halls, of course there is probably a good reason they have taken them out of service.

thanks for the recommendations, here is a set of Casino balls at poolndarts.com.

it would be nice if they were a little closer to cue ball color...lol. at $70, I will keep on looking for cheaper sets though--hitting solid red balls would be weird!

Have you called Meullers direct for a price of 5 to 6, because the volume discount price would be in effect. The price listed is for 1-2 balls, if you call Im sure the price would be cheaper.
