The JPNEWT 9-ball tour was at Great Slates in Cambridge Maryland, this past weekend. As usual, it was a great tournament and the ladies provided a lot of good pool, for those of us in attendance.
Great Slates is the nicest pool room I have ever set foot inside. If you are in that area, I recommend you give it a try. It has good pool and good food, at reasonable prices. Owner, John Moody, could not have been nicer to the ladies of the JPNEWT tour.
Here are a couple of pictures of Great Slates.

This was another great tournament with a lot of good pool. I urge everyone to support your local regional tours and the pool rooms that sponsor tournaments. Let the room owners know that you appreciate that they host these tournaments. After all, they are most likely losing money on the deal and they are just doing their part to promote the game of pool.
