We are planning a trip to help some relatives and customers near New Orleans. If any of you have information on which roads and bridges are out and which ones are drivable please let us know. Also please let us know if there is gas available in that area.

I just spoke with friends in GA who were planning a trip to LA, and had to cancel, due to I-10 being closed. You can probably check with the DOT site for AL, MS, and LA for current road closures. Hope this helps...

It might help if you will post your departure point. I know 50 tractor trailers have left Burlington, NC full of water. I would take extra containers of gas for emergency use. There should be gas available inland. Just top off before you hit the jump off point. Take guns and plenty off ammo.
