What type of tip trimmer does everyone else carry around? I just got a Porper's Small Mushroom Trimmer and love it. But the blade tends to get dull really quick? Has anyone else used the "Slide down the shaft?" type? how does that work out?

I just use the Brad style scuffer to shape and then a good pix to grind the leather loose to hold chalk. Chalk? Only blue Masters!

If your tip is properly installed there should be no need for any other tools.

No neeed? I guess you just keep using a flat square tip? Mushroomed and all?

I tried a Little Shaver and couldn't use it. If you let the tool's back end bear against the cue's shaft it dents the shaft. If you don't let the back end bear against the shaft you don't get the cut you want.--AS

I use a Moori medium tip to shoot with and a Mezz to break with and have no problem with my tip mushrooming or losing it's shape.
