Can anyone let me know if this tournament is still scheduled for this coming weekend at Master Billiards in Queens? Thank you.

Hi Astoria. The tournament was canceled, due to lack of commitment from the European players who had promised to be there.

Thanks for the info. That's too bad - hopefully Danny Barouty will be able to get something set up at another time.

In any event, there is a press release on azbilliards announcing the rebirth of the World Straight Pool Championship. The first tournament is scheduled to be held in April 2006 in "the vicinity of NYC." I believe this is the work of Dragon Promotions. Let's hope it will become an annual event.
