And my local room wouldn't get off their wallet and get some decent racks, I decided to make my own.
3 prototypes later, it's done.
I made it out of some scrap oak I had lying around, and it seems to be perfect. No gaps between any balls. I'm no carpenter, but I am quite impressed with my work.
Just wanted to tell some people who could possibly appreciate it.

I am a woodworker, so I feel obligated to tell you:

No pictures, didn't happen /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I'd like to see some pictures. I've got a bunch of cocobolo at home that would make a beautiful rack. Just gotta get around to it /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

As you can see, it's nothing too fancy, but it gets the job done very nicely. I tested it out tonight, and it worked very well on the freshly clothed table.
Now, if I can get people to quit "indexing" the the tables, the head spots will quit rolling off.

You mean the tap tap tap on the head ball? I hate that.

Check out Photobucket.com. I host all of my woodworking pix there, and it's free!

The old tap tap tap on the head ball isn't as bad as some of the yahoos doing the same thing, but on ALL the balls. I guess it wouldn't be so bad if they would make sure the rack was STRAIGHT when they did it, and only do it on one of the tables that the cloth was "near dead".

Just post a sign in big letters that says,

If you tap the balls, have your mouth open and
tongue out .... lol

No, really .. tapping the balls is against
Texas Express rules, did you know that?
