Joint replcaement?

Hello. I have a predator 4K1 WITH A 5/16-14 joint and was wondering if the joint could be replaced with a uni-lock joint ? I need to replace the shaft but I'd like to keep the same butt.

Proficient Billiards also does excellent work. proficientbilliards.com They refinished a beat up Predator SPJU with a busted butt cap for me once. When I got it back it looked brand new. I couldn't believe it.

(Why not just buy a Predator shaft with a 5/16-14 thread?)
