plastic joints!

I just bought a scorpion playing cue as well as a scorpion breaker, and they both have a metal pin but the female end of the joint is plastic and I've noticed that theres been little plastic chunks and metal shavings caught in the threads. Does anybody else own a scorpion and had this problem, and if so how did you fix it? if you did anything about it. /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif
