Inducted at the Derby City Classic

The 2nd annual Hall of Fame Dinner at the 2006 Derby City Classic will be the setting for the induction of this year's slate of four One Pocket players and six Bank Pool players into the One Pocket Hall of Fame. This promises to be a very entertaining evening, as these players are among the most colorful, talented and action-oriented legends in all of cue sports.

This year four One Pocket inductees will be honored:
* Artie Bodendorfer * Marshall ‘Squirrel’ Carpenter * Steve Cook (posthumous) * Ed ‘Champagne’ Kelly *

In addition to these One Pocket inductees, six players have been elected in the new Legends of Bank Pool category:
* Freddy ‘The Beard’ Bentivegna * Truman Hogue * Leonard ‘Bugs’ Rucker *
Billy ‘Cornbread Red’ Burge (posthumous) * Gary Spaeth (posthumous) * Eddie Taylor (posthumous) *

The establishment of the Legends of Bank Pool marks the first year the annual Hall of Fame dinner at Derby City will feature a different special category of awards along with each new class of One Pocket inductions. These special awards, which will focus on a different discipline of after hours cue sports every year, will give fans an opportunity to reach out to some of the uniquely talented and entertaining characters that have made their games where the action is over the years.

Our Hall of Fame dinner will take place Tuesday evening on January 10th, 2006 during the Derby City Classic in Louisville, Kentucky. Fellow inductees Grady Mathews and Freddy ‘The Beard’ Bentivegna will co-host as Master of Ceremonies.

Advanced tickets are available from OnePocket.org (http://). Any remaining tickets will be available at the Derby City Classic. This event was a blast last year, and sold out early.

The One Pocket Hall of Fame is the creation of OnePocket.org in collaboration with Diamond Billiard Products and the Derby City Classic, and is not affiliated with the Billiard Congress of America.

Just to let you know the only living inductee not expected to make it to the dinner this year is Ed Kelly. Freddie the Beard, Artie, Squirrel, Truman and Bugs all plan to be there, God willing. They
all seem to have caught the buzz, and are bringing a good crowd with them.

Steve Cook's father will be accepting for Steve, and Gary Spaeth's widow will be accepting for Gary -- this promises to be a powerful evening as well as very entertaining.

See you there
