Hi all
I am a recent snooker convert to the American game. I have a Fury cue.
I like it, but i find the shaft a bit thick, i was wondering is it
possible to get American style cues with a thinner taper, as i would
like to buy one. I will be in the US in march for a few days and i
hope to pick up a cue then. Your recomendations would be very welcome.
Regards
SJ

If you will be here for March 16-19, head for the Super Billiards Expo in Valley Forge, not far from Philadelphia.
You will find any type of cue you could want.

For the likes of a snooker player wanting a thinner shaft, you may want to check out Predator's "Z Shaft". It is a thinner shaft with a smaller tip and the taper is that of a snooker cue - more like what you are used to with a snooker cue.
With you moving from Snooker, I am presuming that you are based in the UK. This being the case, I'll give you what info I can here and you can make up your own mind. Prices for cues here in the UK are not too bad, but with a decent Dollar to Pound exchange rate at the moment, you may be tempted to buy from the States. Just remember that the average cost of shipping a cue to the UK from the States is $45. Then, you'll have VAT and Import Tax added to this when Customs get hold of it.
Having said all that, good luck!
Best wishes
