I've been reading about this, too. Do you ever wonder if Bush is nothing more than a figurehead for the Saudi's? Wouldn't it be something if we found out they owned this company? What could be more stupid than to turn our borders over to any Arab concern? It's like he just wants to destroy the whole country. Yeah, let the Mexicans come in and take over, leave the borders open, beat our reserves into the ground, keep borrowing from China, he's unbelievable. This is the worst in a long list of Anti- American actions he has taken, he's either an enemy, or totally stupid.

Gayle in Md. Impeach Bush, before he destroys us completely!

I go for stupid. As far as the country goes, this is not the America of ten years ago. We are now without friends in the world recognized as incompetent liars, without ethics, and not to be trusted. The terrorists have already won, when they caused us to abandoned the Constitution, and private citizens could no longer be secure in their own homes, with out being spyed on. We are now prisoners of fear, fed to us by our own government, and this fear has made terrorists of us. The war is over, and America has lost.

Truer words were never spoken. We patriotic Americans MUST work to remove republicans from their offices in the coming election so that Bush can be stopped by a Democratic Majority. Republicans have blocked every investigation, and they are now having secret meetings to prevent the investigation of the wire taps, just as they did with the 9/11 investigations, and Gonzales refuses to recuse himself from the Abramoff investigations, in spite of the letter sent to him asking him to recuse himself, signed by 37. Bush, has put money in the budget for pushing through his destruction of Social Security. If we are to save our country from these despots, we must all get out and work to get rid of them, before it is too late.

Those interested should buy this month's Atlantic - the one with the article on Pakistan's nuclear program and the assistance given to other countries. It talks about the gray market for stuff and where and how it gets shipped, etc... Then you will worry more.

This is more than a democrat/republican thing BTW. These problems have been brewing for years against a complicated backdrop.

What are your thoughts?

What you say is very true, however, in that there is a Republican President pushing to put Arabs in charge of our ports, makes it, IMPO, another lousy Republican-George Bush decision, another in a long line of decisions he has made which have made us less safe.

Do you ever wonder if Bush is nothing more than a figurehead for the Saudi's?

No, however did you read about Al Gore's trip to Saudi Arabia this past weekend? So funny, I am sure it happens in all parties, this is an example of the left hand doing something the right hand knows nothing about. One lib is talking about Bush being a figurehead for SA, and the another is kissing SAs butt. Hilarious.
