Hey Jake UPDATE for you! Her table cloth got tight! You have to get off the plane shooting as the Asians have it planned that way. /ccboard/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Nostroke may never come back? I almost didn't last time I was there.

Wendy is a very busy lady I thought the pool world new that inside of the last 16 days Wendy played and won the Weert Women's 9-ball open, played in the WPBA North Carolina, Flewto NY sunday to make long flight to Taiwan and has played her matches and when she gets home she and her Mom and Dad will be opening a new 20 table, 4 snooker table poolroom in Neerpelt (Belgium).

Just reading some history the 82nd Airborne fought a bitter battle there during the Battle of the Bulge. Yes, Wendy has to win the next two matches though to make some money. Go Wendy /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hello,

In an other thread there was a question why Allison, Jeanette and Karen did not attend the World Championship.
Here is a news article from Taipei Times posted on another board by Colin Colenso an IPT Player who lives in China.

Women's 9-ball tournament starts with intense stares

By Sean Scanlan
CONTRIBUTING REPORTER

Over the past eight years, the tournament paid for travel expenses and appearance fees for top-ranked players such as Allison Fisher, and Jeanette Lee, the Korean-American sensation also known as "The Black Widow."

This year, however, the event is doubling as the Women's World 9-Ball Championship, and prize money is taking the place of appearance fees.

"Jeanette Lee's appearance fee rose to US$10,000 per day this year," Huang said. "We weren't prepared to pay that type of money for her to play."

While some fans may regret the loss of such high profile players, this year's Amway Cup will feature attractive and talented Asian players such as up-and-coming South Korean challenger Kim Ga-young and China's Pan Xiaoting.

To be sure just like Pro Hockey the pool shooters have priced themselves right out of the market. Sad but True!

Hello,

Just wanted to type at times like this when I think about players who I think should be invited to be a U. S. representative on a ladies pool team. I think of a lady who is the life of the party and keeps everyone lose. The lady in my photograph would be my captain if I managed a U. S. ladies pool team.

It's a little better for the ladies now in the Arena as all the matches are under the lights on the TV table. Elsewhere in the arena it is probably 60 degrees, in the balcony maybe 57 or so. They still keep the front doors open but have closed some windows.

Still somehow thousands of mosquitos are in the arena seeking shelter from the cold and somehow surviving enough in there to bite me 4 times so far. They were a problem for Melissa H in her match today.

Unfortunately Team Fury and Tiffany are out now. Jennifer B plays Jeannie Seaver tomorrow -the winner guaranteed 8th

Ga Young wins easily, Jeannie wins hill/hill and Kajitani wins easily. Ga Young just came into this 'business center' as i was typing this. She looks great, is feeling good and is gonna be tough to beat tomorrow. If she controls the CB on the break it should be all her. Remember this is Winner breaks. GYK made the nine Plus four more balls on one break today vs Takagi. I think she has to be a pretty strong favorite at this point. Anyway i will be pulling real hard for her and Jeannie too. I think they meet before the finals unfortunately.
