I heard a thousand blended notes, as in a field I sat reclined.....

In that sweet mood when pleasant thoughts
Bring sat thoughts to mind,

Try grove,instead of field

A.E. Housman. A beautiful line
K The curfew tolls the kneel of parting day,
the plowman homeward plods his weary way

further in this poem is an intresting use of the word rude, that demonstrates how language is alive, and changing

Beneath those rugged elms, that yew's tree shade
where heaves the turf in many a moldering heap
each in his narrow cell forever laid
the rude forefathers of the hamlet sleep.
