What does it take to join an Indian tribe?

In the latest motorcycle mag "Cruising rider, May 2006...there's a story about a motorcycle convention in St. Joseph, Mo. The group went to a museum where there was a display of paintings of Indian tribes that no longer exist.
I see a fantastic opportunity here........
My father got in a bar fight with an Indian in 1936...and when they sobered up, they made the most of it and became blood brothers...which makes me part Indian.
What I want is to get a bunch of equally well-qualified people together, figger out which of the dormant tribes we might belong to....and start our own tribe......and then
we could ca$h in on this lucrative casino business. Sure the Trumps and the Wynns, and some bigots might oppose us, and down the line we might have to actually cut the 100% Indians in on the action....but we can cheat them as per historical precedent!!!


I got a kick out of this...copied it almost verbatim from the local weekly newpaper....the register, which isn't a challenge to the NY times...just yet....

Once we establish we are Indians,lets do a "Mouse That Roared" thing,and declare war against England,and The United States. We declare war and immediatly surrender,demanding our rights,and compensation for the treatment given our beloved ancestors. "As long as rivers run,and grass is green from this time I will fight no more,"something like that, to prove we are Redmen. Pass the "Southern Comfort" or what ever.

I too feel that Indian blood pulsing through my veins. (I dated a Cherokee chick for a few weeks back in 1968). This should qualify me for a "trail of tears" T-shirt and casino rights.

No longer will the white man oppress my people, we will spin prayer wheels (roulette) and throw the bones (dice) of our ancestors upon the sacrificial table (craps) and every single Brave will know the tribe is still alive. (to collect social security).

Once again we shall go forth on the field of battle (Pit Area) and cut off the pee pee's of our enemy.</font color>
