I am active on a wakeboarding forum where I have met literally dozens of other people through a "Find A Third/Be A Third" topic. In fact, it is now rare that I ride with somebody whom I did not meet, directly or indirectly, through that thread.

I don't see many people from my area on this billiards forum but I would still be interested in seeing if the same idea works here.
