Billiard Club network is proud to announce the expansion of its regional cable TV coverage for Billiard Club television. Premiering May 2, 2006 (http://www.coxsportstv.com/ProgramSchedule.aspx?page=Schedule&m=5&d=2&y=2006) , BCn will begin a weekly broadcasting schedule on Cox Sport Television, a regional sports TV network based in New Orleans and broadcasting to 1.5 million cable subscribers in the Gulf South region.

Billiard Club TV will air weekly on Cox Sports Television (CST) every Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 PM, through August. Then, BCtv moves to Thursday’s at 3:30 PM beginning September through December.

Cox Sports TV currently reaches (http://www.coxsportstv.com/About.aspx?page=About&About=Affiliates) cable TV homes within 350 miles of New Orleans, LA and includes Louisiana, southern Mississippi, western Alabama, and the Florida panhandle. Cox Sports TV coverage is also available in parts of eastern Texas and southern Arkansas, and is quickly becoming the predominant producer of regional sports programming in the entire Gulf South.

Cox Sports TV will begin its billiard schedule with the 2005 Derby City Classic 10-Ball Ring Game and follow that with the 2005 US Open 9-Ball Championship series.

“We’re happy to be on cable TV in the Gulf region,” says Rob Sykora, president BCn. “Cox Sports TV puts us in a market that we previously reached only through satellite services Dish Network and DirecTV. CST’s focus is on compelling professional and amateur sports events and BCtv will fit nicely within their broadcast line up.”

Cox Sports TV joins BCn's other cable TV affiliates (http://www.billiardclub.net/showarticle.php?articleID=87) Altitude Sports Network in Denver, Comcast Sportsnet in Chicago, Comcast Sportsnet West in Sacramento / San Francisco and Comcast Local in Detroit / Indianapolis as part of the growing Billiard Club network broadcast system. Satellite providers Dish Network and DirecTV carry Altitude, Comcast Chicago and Comcast West as part of their sports packages. BCtv now reaches over 15 million cable TV homes weekly, along with its worldwide reach via the Internet.

“The most important aspect to this deal is that we have a regular time slot each and every week,” added Sykora. “It’s very important to be on the same day and time each week in order to create a loyal viewing audience. Once the viewer knows where and when they can watch BCtv, they’ll watch or record the show. And what they’ll see is professional pool as a true competitive sport from the most established professional events in the pro billiard calendar.”
