View Full Version : wrist locked or not

I have been working on a practice drill. It is a 4 diamond stop shot and the cueball cannot move at all after it has pocketed the object ball. I have found that using a locked wrist helps me control the cueball with this shot. And also helps with speed control with other shots. To me it seems that using a backhand that opens up on the backstroke should be used only when using english because of deflection. I only like to use a locked wrist on centerball shots. Should I keep playing this way since it helps.
