View Full Version : Pre-Tournament Preparation, What do I do?

What's the scoop for the night before and the morning of a tournament. Lately I've been out in the first match. Rest, food, practice? What's best prep work?

If it is an all day tournament or a multi-day tournament, I think the best thing is rest the day before the tournament. Play a couple of games for fun, take it easy, relax.
You don't want to play all day/night the day before and show up the next morning tired and hungover if you get my drift. Better to have plently of sleep, be "fresh", and ready to play.
So far as playing in tournaments in general, best to play in weekly local tournaments as much as possible all year long. Then it is nothing to play in a tournament. It is just like playing a friend for fun. Also you get used to all the noise, distractions, and people watching you play.
And as I tell my opponents before a match... "Have a good match!"
