Don't have any additional information... the ticker on MSNBC just relayed the sad news. He was 77.

God bless Rod. His portrayal of Napoleon still stands out in memory. Great actor. He will be missed.

I liked him in Scareface. He was a great old time actor.
On the tv news tonight they said His only regret as an actor was that he passed up the role of Gen, Patten. As great as George C Scott was in that role, somehow I'm sure Rod would have played it even BETTER!

Now, that's a loss for sure. The best movie I'd ever seen him in was, "On the Waterfront." The taxi scene with him and Marlin Brando, was the best of all times. Brandon admitted he was intimidated, by the perfomance Rod gave and asked to shoot the scene alone and seperately. The studio complied. Brando said, he was in awe of him. He was huge. Brando, paid him the ultimate compliment. What a movie.

Saddened,

C.C.~~ "I could have been a contender" what a line.....
