If you missed Meet The Press this morning, you really should try and catch the repeats, as there are several, one this evening, I think, and also Monday evening.

John Murtha gave a realistic up-date on the situation in Iraq, and addressed the Bush administrations only war policy, the tactic of using slogans and slander in place of stated policy and realistic assessments of progress.

Circumstances in Iraq, resulting from policy failures and incompetence by the administration, (Rumsfeld, Bush, Cheney, Rice) such as availability of electricity and water, increasing sectarrian violence, aka, the civil war, the astounding costs involved, both in lives and money, the massive resulting debt, all things which republicans address with only slogans, sound bites, and slander (slung at former war heros and Generals who have had the courage to speak truth to power) were accurately, honestly and intelligently addressed by Murtha.

While depressing to hear the plight of our troops, it was, to say the least, refreshing and encouraging to hear atleast one representative speak the truth, regardless of the politics involved, regarding the grave circumstances in which our troops are being left to fight, in the Iraqi Civil War.

After a week of listening to the Republican treasonist, Karl Rove, who outed a CIA agent in Wartime by leaking her position with the CIA to atleast two reporters in order to discredit her husbands correction of the lies told by George Bush before our nation, and the world, it is daunting to have to listen as Rove, who has never seen a battlefield, nor has Cheney, Bush or Rice ever had boots on the ground in a war, call war heros such as Kerry and Murtha, cowards.

Over 2500 troops now dead, sectarrian violence ever increasing, the United States sinking farther and farther into debt in the trillions, and the Republican agenda...Stay The Course...

Murtha states the statistical facts, numbers killed per day, number of attacks per day, the rising costs, and using month to month statistical comparisons, anyone who would have the audacity to try to float the idea that things are getting better in Iraq, must think that we Americans are the most stupid humans on the face of the earth!
