View Full Version : Discharging weapons in Iraq

I read a column from a guy who wrote into the local paper the other day that has a son in Iraq. He stated that since all of the bad press the U.S. is getting, there is now a lot of paper work that must be filled out if you discharge your weapon unless you are in one of the "hostile zones". He told his son he would send him a case of pens, that if he were fired on, that he was to return fire regardless of the amount of paper work.
If this is indeed true, it kind of reminds me of Vietnam where we were trying to "win a war", but could not bomb Hanoi even though it was full of SAM missiles.
I don't know if this is true....but it sounds about right for this administration.
