Actually, it's very popular to incorporate wood into a sleek design. The ride may be a little rough and there's the ocassional splinter, but it beats a Harley.

Neat, although one might live in fear of termite swarms. . . .

It reminds me of a story about a Brit (I think it was a Brit), who built a motorcycle with a plywood frame. The handlebars were upright, and I think they pivoted forward and back. I tried to google something, but came up dry. I will keep looking.
