I'm flying to Virginia to the US Open next month. I guess I'm supposed to purchase my toiletries once I get to Virginia and repurchase them again once I'm back in NY?????????

How about just checking your baggage? Isn't the problem with carry-on's?

Fran,

If I have to check my Super Heavy Quantum Hair Gel, the terrorists have won.

Hey, you don't have to go to Virginia to have a good time:

or maybe just a nice afternoon on the lake?

I have to go there Monday. I guess I can't bring my own Coke. People are out of control with those carryons anyway. I wouldn't mind if they banned them altogether.

My wife just flew into Louisville this morning and had no trouble. Her bottles were checked in the suitcase and not carry on. Although she said that when she arrived, the line to leave was horrendous with people having everything checked for tubes. We'll have to wait and she what it's like when she comes back.

DG

From what I have been hearing on the news, there is no problem, as long as all of the liquids and gels are in the checked luggage and not in the carry on luggage. There may also be a problem with all electronic devices, in the carry on luggage. They haven't been too clear on that issue.

You guys are correct, Fran and Rich. The first article that I read didn't mention anything about carryon luggage so I started freaking out thinking about not having my gel or makeup, etc. LOL I always wind up checking my baggage 'cause I have no choice, so hopefully, I'll not have any problems.

I was just in Leesburg, Virginia for five days this past week and I got to take anything I wanted. The catch is that I drove 22 hours from North East Texas, non stop! But I had my toiletries too and some ammo. Would you believe, Because I do not know anyone there other than my wifes sister, I had to play pool by my self.
