Hello
I noticed a lot of people use a large rug ubder their table. I have wide plank, hand distressed hardwood flooring (wavy and not flat). Should I consider a rug? What are the pro's and con's?
Thanks for any help.

A rug absorbs sound, so, without a rug, your room will be a lot noisier. Also, your legs will get tired quicker when walking on the hard wood floor, rather than a rug.

It's really not likely that the table itself will damage the flooring, if that's a concern. Most of my customers have had hardwood floors over the years and typically don't bother with a rug unless they like the way the rug looks. I haven't heard of problems with the flooring being damaged. As previously mentioned, the sound-dampening is a nice factor.
It pretty much boils down to whether you want a rug or not. Personal preference!
