My favorite is 9-ball. I also play alot of 8-ball because I hang too much in bars. I also like straight and recently discovered the amazing game of one pocket.

My favorite? Whatever I can win at. I play 8 ball because that is what our leagues have, we had a 9ball league for two years, but it was over the summer and most didn't understand the game. I've played straight, 7 ball, and 10 ball but never played one pocket. I really don't have a favorite and those who've seen me play, know I'm not good at either of these.

My absolute favorite game is 14.1 straight pool.
I can't play it worth a damn, but I love the game.

Playing any game of pool is better than not playing at all. I will try anything once.

Same as Rich, but sometimes it can be very difficult to get a game with a good player (like 1 hole too)... I may have to join a straight pool league soon just to get to play it on a steady bases. one thing for sure this game will help your all around game.
lately I have been playing rotation, now that is a fun game.

If I'm in the right mood, I don't have a favorite game. All games would appeal to me. Overall, though, I'd have to say 9-ball is my all time fav. Good money game, quick (usually) and it's one of the most fairest games to spot. As long as your dealing with honest pool players! /ccboard/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I used to play a lot of one pocket when that was the craze and loved 14.1 back in the day. But I always seem to come back to 9-ball. 8-ball is reserved solely for my league play. I practice 9-ball for my 8-ball game.

I have 3 favorites: Straight Pool, Straight Pool and Straight Pool, in THAT order! LOL! Oh, by the way, did I mention Straight Pool?

Definitely straight pool, though I mostly play 8-ball and a little 9-ball.

Snooker and one pocket for me. I like the challenge & long shots of snooker and the brain workout of one pocket.

Finally I think that one pocket is my FAVOURITE game!!!

I was taught by a straight pool player and also learned snooker from the tender age of 9, many many moons ago! I still now believe straight pool to be the most overall challenging and grueling of all pool games with the exception perhaps of one pocket! Hence its lack off popularity in todays "instant gratification" /ccboard/images/graemlins/frown.gif geared world! /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif I mostly play 8 ball now since its hard to find quality straight pool opponents! /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have always claimed 14.1 as my favorite, although I have not played it in years. Since I am geared for the money end of things, I would have to say 8 ball is my favorite since I seem to make my biggest wins (tournament wise) in 8 ball. I haven't played a big table in 4 years, mostly because I am shorter, and hate using a crutch so much, but I grew up on big tables.
Usually for money, it is 9 ball, and 8 every once n while.

Actually, I guess I would have to say Dakota 8 ball is my favorite (same as Rotational 8 ball). This is the way I practice 8 ball by myself.

I love snooker.

Has to be straight pool. Our league started last week, we now have twenty players. Oh it's going to be a great season! I play the rest of the games but I always come back to straight pool.

Last pocket 8 ball.....

Another variation we sometimes use (among advanced players and in money games) is banking all balls including the 8 ball.

After tonight my least favorite is 9 ball, and my most favorite is anything else besides 9 ball. /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif St.
