Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I found this great forum just recently and registered as a member.
I started playing pool a couple of years ago and finally got a table for home. Here is a link to pics of the pool room.
I recently experimented with different bulbs in my table light. I made comparisons of the bulbs and took pictures. It may be useful for anyone looking at different bulbs or color temperatures...
I look forward to participating here.

Beautiful room! Love the bar... but then I love ALL bars.
What is the white box on the floor? Heater, dehumidifier, paper shredder /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif ?? Jim

Jim, it looks like a dehumidifier that I just bought for my basement. However, it could easily be any of the other choices.

Hey everyone, thanks for the compliments!
That thing is indeed a dehumidifier. I just put it away for the winter. Although, a paper shredder would be awesome too. LOL! /ccboard/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

You did a great job on the room, the lighting, and getting it all photographed.

Joey, ya need big pockets, after visiting that bar

Woah... I just measured the corner pocket openings and they are 5 inches. I thought they are supposed to be 4? But the table manufacturer states they meet BCA standards. Hmmm... /ccboard/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I believe 5" is the max allowable under BCA standards...and nothing wrong with that for recreational play. Mine are 4".... but I think 4 1/2" would be a nice compromise. After my third trip to your bar...6" might be too small.
Great room and a great bar....
We have at least one more great room here..sPetty...there may be some photos for viewing somewhere on the site

The basement took just over a year to build. I worked on it on weekends for the most part. I took pics of that too...
The pool table was the crowning touch to the main room. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the setup. I was concerned initially I wouldn't have enough room for a 9 footer. I even had an 8 on order, but was able to change it to the 9 once I realised I had the room.
