Now that the Republicans have lost control of the house, Senate...maybe the shocking story about GWB can finally be told:
"In 2002, Margie Schoedinger of Missouri City, Texas, a writer of Christian books, filed a pro se lawsuit against George W. Bush alleging that Bush had raped her in October 2000.[9]. The complaint also claims that she had been harassed, that she had been drugged and sexually assaulted numerous times by Bush and two other men purporting to be FBI agents, that her bank account had been interfered with, and that she had been threatened and beaten. There was no substantiating evidence for any of her claims. The suit also claimed Bush raped her husband, Christopher. Christopher allegedly served a year in prison after pleading "no contest" to assault charges against his wife. He later filed for divorce.

Many believed Schoedinger suffered from mental disorders. Among American newspapers, Schoedinger's ordeal was covered only by the local Fort Bend Star, whose editor is said to have off-handedly opined, "I had heard she was a nut case." [10]

Margie Schoedinger died of a gunshot wound to the head in 2003, nine months after filing the suit. The Harris County Medical Examiner's office has ruled the death a suicide."

Sure, the Republicans will try to paint her as unstable, and her death a suicide....but in light of recent similar revelations re:Haggard/Foley.......
Also, for the next two years, if you don't want your thoughts relayed back to party headquarters....keep wearing them aluminum hats......
And think twice about an overnite stay invite to the White house...

The shocking story of what? I quote from the article:
"There was no substantiating evidence for any of her claims."

This is why I can't embrace either party you're all too busy smearing sh*t all over each other rather than actually getting anything constructive done. The Reps trade on fear and the Dems trade on hate.

Move along folks there's nothing to see here.

If you can't tell a f***G joke from a serious post....maybe you jes ain't the self important pseudo-intelleckyouall, you purport to be????
And why don't you wait until they appoint you the political editor here, before you order folks to move along?
Or maybe yer jes another wannabe censor that thinks they are so smart, they alone can decide what should be read, or not.
In any case Mr. bigshot Libertarian..... **** ***
I just reread some of your posts...like this one
"Dems trade on hate, GOP on fear"
and figured them out:
"Platitudes, with attitude"
I'll mosey on by, next time I see one.

Oh my! Whats the matter Wolfman? Why all the acid dripping from your tongue? Are you PMS'ing or suffering from hemorrhoid flare up?

I don't remember attacking you personally. So what is you major malfunction? Perhaps you need to enroll in a Dale Carnegie course.

BTW--Your "joke" was crude and tasteless. That's my opinion and I have every right to it. If you don't like it go take a flying f*ck at a rolling doughnut. Capiche?

See, you still can't read between the lines....that was a news item that I found on the internet...and several more sites have the story. Sounded a bit bizarre to me, but who knows?
The rest of your post is exactly what I expected. It's very well thought out.....especially the "that's my opinion...."
and you know what they say about opinions???

Hallelujah, I see the light!!
Yes, I now see where my "joke" could be conceived as crude and tasteless....while this link, from a post would be hi-brow humor?

In a strange parallel... the Rev. Haggard, and Rep Foley were also offended by the moral corruption of others.

"The wise man wears a coarse cloth on top and carries jade underneath his dress, within his bosom." - From Tao Te Ching, ch. 70.
"The deceiving agent's main thrust is hardly handy and fair or Jesus-centered."

The Pope just called. Your canonization ceremony is scheduled for next Tuesday.

As for Foley and Haggard, don't feel bad about being left out. You dems have more than enough gays, druggies, and assorted perverts to go around.

Sorry Fats, but if that were true, we'd definately be hearing plenty about it from Rove and company. So far, they only thing they came up with for this election was fiction, about fiction, LMAO!

Oh yeah yeah yeah...all we libs, Dems, whatever, we're all hoping to see the country fail, and we're for the terrorists, forgot about that... /ccboard/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

One thing I'll give the Repubs, they are chock full of excuses, and really know how to change the meaning of a word, like Liberal, for example, which is not at all what Republicans try to say it is, IMO, guess they forgot that Jesus was a Liberal...

Gayle,

I could care less about either the Democrats or the Republicans as far as I'm concerned they're both full of sh*t. One day the people will wake up and you'll both be swept away may not happen soon, but mark my words it will happen.

and I'll bet your librarian party is just squeaky clean, with lots of Pooh-Bahs (Lord-High-Everything-Else) like yourself.
Have you guys ever won any office?...ever authored any legislation?...ever even had a positive platform...besides gripping about the other two parties....are there any original ideas, any thinkers in the party....or just a bunch of malcontent carpers trying to catch a slice of the pie?

I read Fats, and think I'm reading Ed...maybe the Libertarians are some elite branch of the Republicans, like the Jesuits are to the Catholic Clergy.

Up until this recent election, this was the exact group of questions we asked of the Democrats. Well, I guess the first question has been answered. I just can't wait to see the Dems come up with an original idea and actually prove they think instead of just saying it all the time. /ccboard/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Maybe you don't realise it, because you've been brainwashed by your party.....but politics goes way back beyond 2000, and the only times that this country has moved ahead....was under Democratic leadership. The Republican eras have been rife with depression, recessions, stagflation....and now they have added sexual scandals to go with their usual bribe-taking, power-broking.etc.
A list of GWB's closest friends, could make a top 10 criminal list...beginning with Ken Lay, and ending with Ted Haggard.
Either he's the dumbest President ever in picking his friends and associates....or he "overlooked" their problems, because of their $$ contributions. Well, they say, everybody's got their price, but "prostituting" the office of the President....I hope he got the big bucks, because once you turn a trick for $20...you're no longer a $100 whore.

C'mon it cannot end there. What about PlameGate. Don't you guys have amazing evidence to prove a non-secret agent was outed? Surely that should crack the top 10, or are you selling yourself short right after patting yourself on the back?

Ooops, I am sorry, we cannot talk about the him, the only time we are allowed to mention the past is when the Dems are ready to.

Integrity is the key here and you are throwing it out the window. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif You are quite mad that he has the big bucks and continues to do things that will further pad his wallet. You don't hope he made any money and to be honest you wish he was broke and sitting in jail waiting for his lucky day in the chair.

Well isn't that special! Is that your progressive open mindedness showing? /ccboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Is your party squeaky clean? At least the Libertarians aren't a bunch of hypocrites.

We don't want a slice of anybody else's pie or their government cheese either. We believe in going out and getting our own.

As far as the official party platform..here it is:
http://www.lp.org/issues/platform_all.shtml

Here's a little something to think about; if the Libertarians manage to capture just five percent of the Congress in any future election you and the Reps will be forced to kiss our collective azzes because we will be the king makers. To make that happen all the LP needs to do is get the small "l" libertarians to ditch their Dem and Rep affiliation and go big "L" Libertarian.

I don't want, need, or care for your approval Mr. Kommissar. Go on and think as you want and I'll do the same, thank you.

BTW, you really should do something about that huge bug that's apparently crawled up your posterior lately. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well Fats, I only wish that a third party, any third party, could take over, and prove themselves to be above the ultimate corruption that accompanies absolute power, but, unfortunately, brace youself, that will never happen, not even if it happened to be Libertarians. Our system is the problem, and until we tax payers can find a way to force public campaign financing, outlaw Political commercials, and tight control on corporate lobby, we will continue to have a representatives, and government, subject to corruption.

There is no perfect party, and no perfect government, but I, for one, was proud this week that our votes still count, and that we, the voters, do have the power to clean house when necessary.
