What would you choose for $250: McDermitt or Viking?
Which one plays&feel better?
(external look is not important as well as warranty)

I guess the "feel better" thing is more of personal preference beyond the brand name. If i can get a chance to shoot some balls before i buy the cue, the better. It is really hard to tell by merely knowing the manufacturer.

I understand what you mean.
I hope that here is somebody who used both brands and is able to say few words /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I personally have several cues, couple of Mcdermotts and one old Viking, and the Viking is my favorite, even though my Mcdermotts were a little pricier, one a hellov-alot. jm2c...sid

The "plays & feel better" part is definitely a personal presference.
If you are just looking for a good cue, to get you started, until you know what feels good to you, I would recommend the McDermitt with its lifetime warranty.

I have a McDermott Sierra. Top retail is $580 but
I got it new quite a bit cheaper new on ebay.
Looks & plays great. Plus, lifetime warranty.
What's not to like?

Here's my choice for $250, if Viking and McDermott was not the imperative idea for some reason. Great cue IMHO...sid

I forgot to add that I am looking for cue with 13mm tip, and that I play soft and like to play slow with spin.
