DP cues (http://www.dpcues.com/index2.html)
Anyone hitting with one of these?Whats the word on em?

he used to put out a decent hitting cue. still does from what i hear. down side is he killed his own market by flooding ebay with his cues... a friend bought 1 of his 1 of 1 cues before he went to ebay. my friend paid him 1400.00 for it. and now he can't get 400.00 for it because of what DP did with ebay. if you plan on keeping the cue and never getting rid of it. i say go ahead. but remember what i told you.............................mike

I have two of them. They aren't for selling, as Cueball 1950 points out, but they are for playing. I love the hit of mine as does everyone who's tried it.

Pics are a little small, but the cue looks beautiful. How much did you pay? I would love to know how it hits. I have been considering a cue from him also.

Thanks Mantis...Of course I agree its a handsome piece /ccboard/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I have few minutes so I'll try to size em up a little, but I gotta say internet photos don't come natural to me lol. These are the photos from the auction so I have no idea of the quality once sized up,but I'll try.
Whoops,forgot the price...
Missed out on one the day before that sold for 4 bills that was very similar, except it had torquise inlays,Stunning.I was bidding, but ran out of time.

I am very interested to hear how it hits!

I paid nearly $700 for a very similar " 1/1" a few
years ago. I really like it but I'd like it even
better for $325. Prices keep going down, down, down.
A shame because I really feel it is comparable to
anyhing you'll find at a thousand dollars.

It hits great and looks good as well.

Is there a noticeable difference between the DP and your previous cue?
01-26-2007, 08:47 PM
Well...I'll try to explain based on the two cues I've used over the last many years.Meucci and cuetec.
All 3 are 19oz.The CT shaft tapers too 13mm and both the muecci and the new DP are 12mm.
The Dp hits better then each imo.The balance is better then either and the "pro taper" allows for a smaller tip (which I like) but still offers a very solid hit. That kind of suprised me honestly.
Its my first custom cue so its hard to compare really....But I like it.From feel to balance to hit to looks I love it.
I did have a layered tip put on after I got it fwiw, but thats what I have shot for years. It came with a triangle med I think.
Hope that helps.
