Frame 10 has just appeared on youtube. In this frame Higgins runs this fourth century in a row. According to the commentators, this is the second time in snooker history that this feat has been accomplished.

For all you trivia buffs, according to the commentators, the first run of four consecutive centuries in a match took place in Hamilton, Ontario.

thanks for the up, i had that match on tape but lost it. pure magic. long blue? piece of cake. hehe. funny thing is, exactly one year before that, ronnie did the same thing to higgins! i remember higgins putting his hanky on the tip of his cue in the last frame while ronnie was clearing up, as a white flag.

if you can find footage of that match aswell, that would really make my day /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

also, check out frame 19 (the decider)of the 2006 final, from the same youtube user. i remember when i saw it on tv, i (and john higgins with me) could not believe that red fell. he was already on his way back to his chair!

For what it's worth, here's a little story about Bob Chaperon...

About 3 years ago, there was a tournement in Quebec with Danny Hewitt vs Alain Martel and Bob Chaperon vs Martin Daigle for the semi-finals.

The Chaperon-Daigle went unoticed as a battle was going on between Hewitt-Martel. Hewitt was on a fast pace while leading in the early match when Martel started yapping at him. At a moment, he started complaning of where Danny was breaking from claiming that all other participants were letting him cheat but that he wouldn't...

In any case, all that kinda put Hewitt off his game allowing Martel to come back and win for the final.

For the final game, Chaperon went on a lead and Martel got his pie-hole going again. I remember how cool Bob Chaperon was when he told Martel that he was to experienced to be put off by Martel's antics and that Martel should concentrate on his game because he wasn't planning to slow down.

Chaperon went on to kick Martel's ass, while Martel could only moan and groan as the game slipped away from him. It is then that I discovered how much a gentleman Chaperon is.

After receiving his price money, he took the mic and addressed the crowd. He thanks the organisors for the tournement but also thanked the crowed for comming and attending the tournement. He went on to say that the reason he was playing was for the fans and the respect that most of the fans shows the player.

A true, classy gentleman !
