At one time, the testicles of young boys were removed by the Catholic Church,to maintain the singing voice of the soprano, before his voice began to crack. I think we can out do the Muslims on any level of torment to man, given the history of Western Civilization.

Actually, they began to use them to replace fuzzy dice as rearview mirror adornments. I have some for sale if anyone is interested... I doubt seriously if there has been any culture since the beginning of time that hasn't produced equally atrocious "crimes against man" as any other given culture.

Yes, but if you could sing like this......wouldn't it be worth it?

How many singers have actually stopped a war?
"In the 17th century, Queen Christina of Sweden was so enamoured of the voices of the castrati that she temporarily halted a war between her country and Poland so that she could borrow the castrato Ferri from the Polish king for a two-week command performance."
The only other time that I know of where a singer was involved in a conflict....was when the FBI played Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Made For Walking" on loudspeakers, nonstop....at Waco.
They choose to die instead of having to listen anymore.
