Nick Varner cues/US Open Series

Does anyone use Nick Varner cues? Specifically the US Open series? I read somewhere online that that series is the best quality for the cost, and wondered if anyone had personal experience.

I'm essentially looking for a cue between $100 and $200.

How's the wood/wood joint on the McDermotts?

I use a Nick Varner hustler cue stick...It costs comethin like 100$, and I personally do think it is a nice stick.
