Great link! From everything I hear, that is the best way to install VISTA! I was in the market for a new laptop, but decided I'm better off sticking with my old one and just making a couple of upgrades. XP will remain on my computer!

The press about Vista is so bad because all the people who are enjoying their new OS are simply using it. All the complainers out there are the ones with time to post about their troubles. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I had a couple of issues with compatibility, one has been fixed (Sony USB streaming will not work but firewire does) and the other not working yet (VPN into company network). The latter is a pain because it forces me to lug my laptop home every night. I prefer dragging it around only on travel. Other than that, no issues.
I have not had any problems with any of the adobe software (Photoshop CS2, Premiere 2.0 Pro, Dreamweaver 8, Fireworks 8) that I use and they did not have all that great press but it works for me. Maybe I am just the real lucky one out there. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah, I'm sure it's only a couple of people that are having problems. Actually, I think it's really only a couple of people who are causing AND complaining about ALL of the world's problems.

you guys need to try linux. Ubuntu (http://www.ubuntu.com/) is a great distro, easy to use and more stable than anything microsoft has. tons of free software that rivals and in lots of cases surpasses MS. oh BTW its totally free!
