Built into a Mag-Light housing, but uses 12 NiMH cells in series running at 10 amps, an Osram projector bulb, a special metal reflector (plastic would melt), and a high-current switch and wiring.

You wouldn't want a cop shining this thing on your face!

There's a company (Mac's Customs) selling the conversion for $300.

They're handmade as conversions by a guy named Chris MacClellan, who is a regular on the candlepower forums. He uses a Grizzly lathe to make and modify parts.

I don't know any way to contact him other than through the forum.
