OKLAHOMA SAYS IT'S NOT "OK"

Date: Tue, 28 Aug 2007 16:38:53 +0000

Subject: Oklahoma Takes a Stand on illegals

Well, it passed! Oklahoma is no longer OK for illegal aliens........
It seems that at least one state has decided to take matters into it's own hands, since the Federal Government keeps dragging it's feet on this illegal alien stuff and even reversing popular opinion on how to handle it. BRAVO OKLAHOMA! (Too bad all politicians don't have the 'guts' to do this)

Every State needs to do this!!!!

Oklahoma's Governor Brad Henry has signed a sweeping immigration Reform bill: House Bill 1804, that its sponsor believes will go a long way in dealing with the illegal alien problem in the state.

House Bill 1804 was passed by overwhelming majorities in both the House and Senate of the Oklahoma Legislature. The measure's sponsor, State Representative Randy Terrill, says the bill has four main topical areas: it deals with identity theft; it terminates public assistance benefits to illegal; it empowers state and local police to enforce federal immigration laws; and it punishes employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens.

Oklahoma is no longer "O.K." for illegal aliens, Terrill observes. "When you put everything together in context," he contends, "the bottom line is illegal aliens will not come here if there are no jobs waiting for them, they will not stay here if there is no government subsidy, and they certainly won't stay here if they know that if they ever encounter our state and local law enforcement officers, they will be physically detained until th ey're deported. And that's exactly what House Bill 1804 does."

The Oklahoma legislator is pleased the bill he sponsored into law was signed by Governor Henry and believes it will go a long way to curb the illegal immigration problem in the state. "I would remind people that states are separate sovereigns in our federal system," Terrill points out. "Anyone who doesn't understand that needs to go back and take an American federal government class in college," he says.

As a result of that sovereignty, the Oklahoma lawmaker insists, "We have as much right - in fact, I would argue, a responsibility - to protect our tax payers against that sort of egregious waste, fraud and abuse as the federal government should have a responsibility to protect that international border, but doesn't do that."

Terrill says as long as the federal government refuses to do its job of protecting the international borders of the United States, states like Oklahoma must take action to deal with the problem that is costing taxpayers in the state $200 billion a year in public benefits, law enforcement costs, and other resources.

14 GOOD REASONS TO DEPORT ILLEGAL ALIENS
(websites provided for verification)

Hope these 14 reasons are forwarded over and over again until they are read by the majority of Americans. Then they will have something to yell at their U.S. Congress members. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year. http://tinyurl.com/zob77

$2.2 Billion dollars a year is spent on food assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC, and free school lunches for illegal aliens.

$2.5 Billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens. http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html

$12 Billion dollars a year is spent on primary and secondary school education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of English! http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.0.html

$17 Billion dollars a year is spent for education for the American-born children of illegal aliens, known as anchor babies.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

$3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

30% of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens. http://transcripts.cnncom/TRANSCRIPTS/06%2004/01/ldt.01.html

$90 Bill ion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare & social services by the American taxpayers.
http://premium.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0610/29/ldt.01.html

$200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused by the llegal aliens.
http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0604/01/ldt.01.html

The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's two and a half times that of white non-illegal aliens. In particular, their children, are going to make a huge additional crime problem in the United States http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0606/12/ldt.01.html

During the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens that crossed our Southern Border also, as many as 19,500 illegal aliens from Terrorist Countries. Millions of pounds of drugs, cocaine, meth, heroine and marijuana, crossed into the U. S. from the Southern border. Homeland Security Report: http://tinyurl.com/t9sht

The National Policy Institute "estimated that the total cost of mass deportation would be between $206 and $230 billion or an average cost of between $41 and $46 billion annually over a five year period." http://www.nationalpolicyinstitute.org/pdf/deportation.pdf

In 2006 illegal aliens sent home $45 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin.

So if deporting them costs between $206 and $230 BILLION DOLLARS, Start getting rid of em.' We'll be ahead after the 1st year!!!

Wow, Wolfdancer....We agree on two things on one day. The heavens will open up and...oh! We still don't agree on the heaven thing!

Well, I agree that this guy is a leader, not a politician and wish he'd run for President.

Watch out Texas, you're about to have a swoosh of traffic coming through. Bad news, they will probably stop there and not make it to the Border. /ccboard/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Our only problem with Heaven is that I'm Catholic...and it's reserved just for us.....but you weren't probably going to make it there anyway...

Bravo for Oklahoma! I wish 49 other governors would follow suit!

On a related note, the Sheriff of our county has been tapped for a new job with homeland security. He has been the driving force in identifying, detaining, and deporting illegal aliens in Mecklenburg County. He is leaving his job to help coordinate similar programs throughout the country via his new position. Remember his name...Jim Pendergraff....I hope we will be hearing much more from him. He and Sue Myrick have been the two politicians in our state to stand up against the illegal alien invaders.

Wolf...shocking, but you have you, Dee and myself all in agreement! How many moons are in the sky tonight? /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If only we could have spent our money deporting the illegals, instead of wasting it in Iraq, they'd have all been removed, years ago! Just think how much better off we'd be now! The costs would be a drop in the bucket, compared to costs for this idiotic war. Illegals are here for corrupt purposes, to be exploited by the corporate fascists. How much tax revenue is lost through under the table hanky panky?

Instead, Iraq /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif and money blown and wasted, in a country that is a cess pool of corruption, throughout. They're just waiting for us to get out. There will never be any progress in dividing up the oil among the population. Maliki is just as corrupt as Saddam, was. There is no enterprise existing in Iraq, that doesn't operate from a base of corruption. it has always been that way, and is the way of the entire Middle East. No Middle East country with oil is void of corruption, just as not country the grows drugs, is not corrupt. The only country in the middle east without vast corruption, is Jordon, NO OIL, No Drug business.

To think that America, can change the Middle East as regards their overall corrupt practices, which has always been the case, is totally absurd. We can stay there till hell freezes over, and lose another twenty thousand American lives, and it won't change a thing. It was a stupid idea, it won't work, and we're wasting lives and money every day that we stay. To try to justify this mess under the mantle of terrorism, completly absurd. We could have smashed that little hand full of Talliban and alQaeda long ago.

What if we had turned on our TV's the week after 9/11, and watched our armed forces sweeping this country, removing every single illegal here. Do you think people wouldn't have been applying for their jobs after we got rid of them? The wages would have gone up, instead of down, for those jobs, and the lower income people would have had more money to spend, and, We'd be much safer here, and not in this incredible debt. Our crime rates would be much lower, and the savings on operating the jails, alone would have paid much of the deportation costs, not to mention the difference we'd have enjoyed in health costs, greatly affected by the illegals.

I get so tired of watching our government spend money on things that cannot be changed, ever. They're never going to stop growing pot in Mexico, just like their never going to stop growing poppies in Afghanistan and Pakistan. We're never going to end drug use here, or anywhere else, and drugs should be legalized, and taxed. What percentage of the world is living off American addiction to drugs? I'd rather have my government spending money on things that we can do something about. The pittance amount we spend on cancer research, is a disgrace. We spend more in Iraq in a month.

We only fight unwinnable wars. /ccboard/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Idealism devoid of parcticality, is folly.
