Don't get any ideas! /ccboard/images/graemlins/blush.gif Brian and Amy are good friends.
Actually, they really are on the same league team in Richmond.

Here is the 2007 winner, Eric, receiving his trophy.
http://i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee155/RichR02/2007%20CCB%20Events/CRW_2000.jpg

I want to apologize to Eric's wife, Susie. I didn't realize, until I got home, that I didn't get a picture of her. This is the second year she has played as a non-member alternate in the tournament.

I would like to thank everyone involved in making the 2007 Dinner and Tournament a huge success. I especially would like to thank all of those who donated prizes.

As soon as we recover, I think we will all be looking forward to next year. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Great pics, as always. You really do have a knack for photography.

Btw, Susie gives you the finger.

Great pics! How did you guys like the food at Ruby Tuesday? Does the Dammit Doll have any yarn hair left on it? /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I miss you guys and you look like you had a good time!

As usual Mrs DG and I liked the food. The ribs are fabulous! The Dammit doll got a huge workout. LOL I hope Rich has a picture of it.

Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the doll. Since I play in the tournament, as well as help with running it, I take most pictures before and after the tournament. I haven't figured out a way to carry my cues and that big camera around during the tournament. /ccboard/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I have one for myself. They vary as far as which balls are on the body, but it looks like this:

http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee197/BendeeWendee/Dammit.jpg

The poem attached to it goes a little something like this:

When you're losing the game of POOL,
And you're bouncing off the wall.
Here's a little dammit doll,
To help you ease the fall.
Just grab it anywhere you like,
And as you soundly slam it,
Release all of your frustrations,
By yelling, "Dammit! Dammit! Dammit!

It looks like everyone had a great time! The winner's plaque is truly a keepsake and I'm sure Eric will keep it nice and shiney. Congratulations Eric--now I'm sure I need the last two and the breaks. /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Excellent pictures Rich! Hope everyone had a good time this year.

Note: Brian the Trophies were outstanding, specially the dedication to our dearly departed friends.

Rich, I hope you don't mind me copying the trophy fotos to my computer....

As always, a terrific job Rich! The one picture I'd like is the one of Amy and RJ at the completion of their marathon match. They'd had so much to drink that 2 ball runs were huge!

Brian in VA

P.S. As soon as my liver dried out, I started on it again in Tokyo. Now that I'm back home, I'll need to recuperate.

Harold, I'm happy you enjoyed the pictures, and feel free to copy that photo to your computer.

We missed you. Hopefully, you will be able to make it next year.

From what I understand, the alcohol fumes would have blurred my lens. /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif </font color>

Rich, I had planned to attend the Open this year but the Dominican Republic Billiards Federation was holding their first Caribbean-International event (Oct 3-7), and I was asked to be present to assist in the endeavour. Sixteen players from Aruba (1), Curacao (8), Argentina (1), Puerto Rico (6) versus 16 players from Dominican Republic. So off we went with six players, obtaining the 3rd, 5th and 9th positions in the event. (In the money !!).

http://fedbillarpr.bravehost.com/myPictures/1erTorneoIntMed.gif

I left on Wednesday October 3rd, returned October 8th, so it would have been very difficult to run off work on the 12th to return on the 22nd, so I didn't even ask.

Anyway, I hope to be there next year.

Here's a link photo of the PR Team that attended the event:

Left to right: Nelson Rivera - 5th Place, Edwin Toro - 3rd Place, Miguel Torres - 13th place, Harold Acosta - President FPB, Alfredo Guzman - 9th place, Angel Pacheco - 17th place, and Silverio Salas - 17th place.

Harold, I get a "no remote linking of photos" message...
I stick mine on Google web albums, photobucket, or imageshack, all free, and easy to use.

It was totally brutal. Amy tricked me into making a (non-paying) bet that I couldn't drink more than her and then crushed my dreams with the bet that count. Easily the largest (but worth it) pool bet I've ever lost.

For some reason BD is not letting me link my own pictures from my own website.

Try going directly to www.fedbillarpr.bravehost.com (http://www.fedbillarpr.bravehost.com)

Everything is in Spanish but you'll get to see the pictures.
