I'm looking to buy a new cue, and I saw an ad today for a cue made by Dan Dishaw. The ad copy claims the cue has the "famous Dishaw hit". Can anyone shed some light on this?

"Let me shed a little light on the subject"... quote the Bowler Hat Guy from Disney's 'Meet the Robinsons'.

I don't know what the "famous Dishaw hit" is, but I would assume it would be the same as the 'Viking hit' would be if you were using a Viking cue or the 'Fury hit' if you had a Fury cue.

IMO it probably is a just sales pitch for that cuemaker. Any cue could have a slightly different feel, even if they were from the same maker and looked like the same cue.

Dishaw is a highly respected custom cue builder.
He's like the president of the American Cuemakers Assoc. or something like that.
Always heard good things about his cues.
Has been making cues since 1992.
Out of Syracuse. Makes about 100 cues a year.
I wouldn't mind having one. Can get pretty pricy ( $13,000)
