I was wondering how old my pool table is. On the table there is a brass plate that reads:

Monarch
The Brunswick Blake-Collender co.
cushion

Here are some pictures of it. What do you think it is worth, if anything? Its not too pretty to look at, but it plays amazingly well. It is a full size table. We are moving and can't take it with us, so we dont know what to do with it.

sorry about that, the links should work now. Most likley i will end up donating it, unless I find out it is worth something. It really is a very nice solid playing table i hate to give it up.

Antique pool tables can cost $30,000.00 and UP (yours is not one of them). But it is clealy old and it wouldn't hurt to get an estimate from one of many antique pool table dealers like oldpooltables.com.

Your cabinet may not even be original but the rails appear to be and they, together with the slate could be worth finding out.

Regards,
Jim

From the website you gave me I think this is the pool table I have.

http://oldpooltables.com/catalogdetail.asp?absid=74

Mine is painted black, but everything else looks the same including the ball return. If you were to sell this what would be your asking price? Obviously my table is not in as pristine condition, but most of it is original. Everything works great. I am thinking ill ask $1000 and take 700 what do you guys think? I will try and clean it up a bit.

You could get much more for that table - just be patient. I would contact an antique table restorer such as Derick Tiers in Kansas. He would definitely be able to accurately price it. I would not let go of it cheap.

Here is a link to his website:

The guy got back to me and appraised the table between $500-$1000. It was not much of a suprise. Im going to put it on craigs list for $1000 and take anyhting above 500. If there are no takers ill try ebay. Are there any other sites that are good to sell pool table?
